SupportEclipse Studios

2 years after releasing one of the greatest successes of Eclipse Studios, the 1997 version of TITANIC, the studio came up with a brand new animation for viewers from all around the world.

This time they raised the challenge up to a new level: recreating some memorable scenes from Roland Emmerich's greatest disaster movie, INDEPENDENCE DAY (1996). The director of Eclipse Studios wanted to accurately recreate the destruction scenes from the original Independence Day but that was almost impossible to do... until now! He used again the help from Regular-Polygon.com by using their Keyframe Animation plug-in.

After weeks of hard work, the mission was accomplished. Again, the limits of SketchUp were pushed even further. The first part of Independence Day was released and it was a big success right from the moment it was shown to the public.

Rumors say the work for part two will begin in the near future. Until then, enjoy the existing part.
